Katz Gluten Free recently sent me a few products to sample. I was really excited to try them; I had never heard of Katz and am always interested in trying new gluten free products.
Included in the huge package were the company's Cinnamon Rugelech, Honey Muffins, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Vanilla Cupcakes and Marble Cake.
444 N. Fairfax Ave, between Beverly and Melrose.
I particularly enjoyed the Cinnamon Rugelech, Marble Cake, and Vanilla Cupcakes. My favorite was the Cinnamon Rugelech -- they tasted like the Cinnabons of my youth without frosting. Even though the products were required to be frozen, they thawed beautifully and, when popped in the microwave briefly, were perfection. I also really loved the Marble Cake; it was light, fluffy, and deliciously flavorful. I definitely would not recommend the Chocolate Chip Cookies -- they were a bit chalky and not that flavorful.
An added benefit: the products are reasonably priced. A package of the Marble Cake is only $5.19 on the website! You gluten free folks out there know how difficult it is to find affordable gluten free baked goods. Katz may be your new go to; I highly recommend it.
And one more thing: Katz is running a contest until tomorrow, September 13th. You can win $100 by filling out a short form on the company's website here.
Oh wait... ANOTHER parting note. Katz has offered to give one lucky reader $25 in Katz dollars and the runner up a sample package! It's easy to enter -- just leave a comment letting me know how you would spend the $25 if you won. That's it, easy as that! My contest will run until September 22nd at 5pm, so enter now by leaving a comment below.
